Netta Fornario Music Video - She Fell Foul On Iona
Eh, Eh, Lady GaGa's song kind of has a ring to it, set in an Italian part of New York, but what about Netta Fornario (also known as Norah Fornario, Marie Fornario and Mac Tyler). Netta Fronario was born around 1896, the daughter of a prominent Italian doctor and a British mother. She fell out with her dad, but was a 'lady of means' with plenty of money to do as she wished, which in her case was to study the Occult. She apparently fell out with a number of other Occultists, but one of her pals was Dion Fortune - Violet Mary Firth Evans, a hospital therapist and Occultist who married a Dr Evans. Dion Fortune held the motto 'Be Wary of Fairy' and Netta was totally involved in Green Ray healing which was why she and Dion Fortune became distant as Netta liked elemental healing practices and Dion Fortune thought they were somewhat dangerous.
Netta went to Iona, a small Inner Hebrides Island in Scotland, to clean the place up of bad vibes, but a mentalist lunatic probably got hold of her and killed her, leaving her naked on a turf cross, either to revitalise the island or to rid it of supposed witchcraft. She had scratches on her feet but not heels, if you run over sharp ground you run on tip toe so as not to hurt your feet. The islanders closed up tighter than a clam. Netta Fornario had a rushed burial in November 1929 a few months after arriving on Iona from London. No real investigations were done in to her death. This is real conspiracy stuff. Its obvious she was bumped off and all sorts of fairy stories concocted to hide the truth.

Beautiful song. Netta definately encountered the wrong person that night. The islanders know but will never talk of course.
ReplyDeleteNot done much of this stuff of late, hence only just seeing your comment. Thank you for you positive input, it's only a shame the whole thing remains a mystery!
